After a heartfelt encounter with Liza Minnelli at the Oscars went viral, Lady Gaga was lauded as a "someone to look up to and adore."

Many said it was her kindness to Minnelli that should have been highlighted in the Oscars and not the widely and wildly talked about topic today: Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. After all, kindness should matter more than violence and not merely sidelined.

The 35-year-old worldwide sensation co-presented the Best Picture trophy at the 94th Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday with 76-year-old actress Liza.

The "Bad Romance" singer was subsequently observed muttering to Liza, "I got you," as she attempted to recite her lines in a wheelchair. To show her gratitude, Liza said, "I know."

One emotional admirer said it should be the "highlight of the night" for the House of Gucci actress after the sad moment.

Some said that Lady Gaga was teaching viewers all what love and adoration looks like. Many said that despite all that she went through (or precisely all because of what she has survived) Liza Minnelli "is a queen."

Others claimed that this is not a one time thing. Lady Gaga regularly shows true compassion understanding kindness love and respect. This is why the singer herself commands respect, some tweeted.

Sunday night's celebrity-studded audience gave Liza a standing ovation, with Gaga also taking the time to acknowledge the renowned performer.

"Oh! That's so exciting!' exclaimed the Cabaret actress happily. "Do you see that? The public, they love you," said the Poker Face singer, before also helping Liza fix her cue cards in order.

"Good evening, you know how I love working with legends," said Gaga, further said, while staring down and placing a hand on Liza's shoulder, making people in the audience and at home feel teary.

Liza cried, "Aw, my baby!" as she held onto the Grammy Award winner's hand.

The likes of Kristen Stewart and Javier Bardem were all captured applauding Liza.

Several celebrities, including Kristen Stewart and Javier Bardem, were photographed clapping for Liza during her speech.

After unveiling the nominees, Liza told Gaga she was her 'biggest fan' and 'so happy' to be there with the singer.

Apple Tv+'s feature show "CODA" was named the Best Picture winner by Liza, who revealed it by revealing a red envelope.

The 94th annual Academy Awards saw Jessica Chastain receive her first Best Actress award, while CODA became the first ever streaming film to win Best Picture, making history.

Despite this, Will Smith's Best Actor triumph at the Oscars has been overshadowed by a violent incident with Chris Rock. It has also made the reactions toward the whole Oscar 2022 evolve around this incident.
