Eric Church and Morgan Wallen are known to be friends.

Wallen has been taken under Church's wing. Church is always ready to aid Wallen with everything he needs, from taking the center stage together to sharing the counsel he offered him, and he even puts it on display most of the time.

The singer of "Heart on Fire" recently appeared on Country Countdown USA (via Outsider) and discussed his connection with the 28-year-old country music singer-songwriter.

Church believes that a young man with Wallen's level of celebrity over the last few years may want some serious advise and guidance every now and again.

The name of the "Don't Think Jesus" singer came up during his talk, which was mostly about the UNC-Duke Final Four.

The 44-year-old country music legend stated that he talks to numerous new country performers with whom he has become acquainted.

They apparently talk once a week with Morgan Wallen.

Eric Church highlighted the young singer's qualities, adding, "He's a genuine person, and he's very honest." We have a good time together. We go fishing, we write music, and it's turned into a great friendship for me.

Church also highlighted the most important piece of advice he provided Wallen: "keep it about music."

"A lot of people encouraged him to keep it between the lines, and I told him, 'Screw the lines, keep it between the buoys,'" Church continued. The lines are too close together. 'Let's make some buoys.'"

"He's doing fantastically well." "I believe that anyone who spends time with him will find him to be a genuine person, which I appreciate."

Morgan Wallen Controversy

Morgan Wallen's path to stardom was never simple. His career took a nosedive last year after he used a racial slur.

He was nearing the pinnacle of his career at the moment. But then TMZ released a video of him saying the N-word and saying, "Take care of this p-a-mother-."

The criticism he received was so severe that his label immediately stated that they were backing away from him, and he was blacklisted from two of the main networks and a TV network, as well as being removed from music-streaming platforms.

Even after he apologized, it was too late.

However, fortunately for him, it appears that he was able to recover from it. And it appeared as if Eric Church had played a significant role in it.
