She grew up in a small suburb of Burleson, where her voice was recognized by her school's choir teacher when she was in seventh grade.

After studying high school, the songstress moved to Los Angeles, California, to try her shot at getting into show business.

Before auditioning for the show, she appeared as an extra in several TV series like "Dharma & Greg" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch."

Aside from celebrating her 40th birthday this year, Kelly Clarkson is also celebrating a win as the court has granted her request to change her name to "Kelly Brianne officially."

According to People Magazine, the "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" hitmaker filed documents in February, citing her desire to change her legal name to "Brianne" more fully reflects who she is.

The big move comes a few weeks after the TV host finalized her messy divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock seven years after tying the knot.
