Ivan Moody suffered a dreaded injury while performing with the Five Finger Death Punch at the Welcome to Rockville festival.

Concertgoers in Daytona Beach fed their eyes and ears with performances from renowned musicians in the country. One of the guest bands to perform on Thursday night include the Five Finger Death Punch.

However, Moody revealed in a since-deleted video post on Instagram (which was transcribed by Blabbermouth) that he sustained an eye injury after a laser beam accidentally shot his eye.

During their set, he purportedly felt overheated that he decided to walk back. Charlie Engen also found it exhausting that the drummer almost lost his consciousness, as well.

"And I reached for a cymbal and I felt myself going under. And so I ran back. And I was okay. My [guys] helped me out. And as I'm coming back on stage, one of the lasers kicked backwards, 'cause I tripped basically over it, and it shot me in the eye," he said, per Loudwire.

As he has to wear an eyepatch, he told his fans in Europe that they could make fun of it but clarified that the blast caused it. He is scheduled to attend the Nova Rock Festival in Nickelsdorf, Austria on June 12.

Moody eventually went to an ER of the nearby hospital where several fans who attended the festival also got admitted due to different health issues.

Aside from Moody and the Five Finger Death Punch, other guests also hit a glitch before the festival. Korn, Breaking Benjamin, and Skillet failed to perform due to the inclement weather.

Meanwhile, Megadeth missed the festival entirely due to travel delays.

Ivan Moody Faced Near-Death Experience Before

Moody's eye injury was successfully treated, but he previously faced a near-death experience after an alcohol-related seizure.

"I tried to quit drinking by myself, on my own, for four days, and on the fourth day my body shut down," he said. "I went into a seizure and I died. I was handing my daughter a glass of water one second, and we'll get into the next."
