Rapper Sidhu Moose Wala was murdered while driving near his home in India, reports confirmed.

The 28-year-old rapper-turned-politician was shot and killed by assailants in the Mansa district of Punjab. Several gruesome videos and photos that were taken at the scene have since gone viral, most of which show Moose Wala's dead body in the driver seat of his black SUV.

Bystanders still checked his pulse, but the rapper - who was already covered in blood - died afterward. He was still rushed to a hospital, where the doctors officially declared him dead.

Rolling Stone reviewed the footage of the incident and reported that Mahindra Thar had around 14 bullet holes.

Punjab's chief of police VK Bhawra added that at least 30 rounds were fired by the suspects. He noted that the bullets came from three different weapons.

Due to this, senior officers started to think that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar was responsible for the rapper's death as well as Lawrence Bishnoi.

Aside from Moose Wala, the gang also planned to murder Youth Congress Leader Gurlal Singh Balwan in Punjab.

The rapper's death came after the Punjab government did not approve his security cover.

"Since AAP has come to power in Punjab, law&order has seen a downward trend: >Broad-daylight murders > Violent clashes in Patiala > RPG attack on Punjab Police >Sidhu Moosewala Shot dead. Law & Order crumbling like a pack of cards in AAP regime-Bhagwant Mann must respond," Congress leader Jaiveer Shergill said.

Rapper Sidhu Moose Wala Immediately Rose to Fame

Moose Wala first stormed the hip-hop industry when he released his first song in 2017 through his 2017 collaboration with Byg Byrd in "So High." He began his career as a lyricist while studying to become an electrical engineer.

Although he came from India, he immediately pushed his songs in the US market and beat other rappers' records.

The recent incident was not the first worrying news in his career. Toronto Star revealed that some of his Canadian tours were canceled due to safety risks.
