It's very rare for fans to have an interaction with their idols on the streets, and when it happened, they should take advantage of the moment and get to know the person who inspired them a lot, this is what street performer Sam Spencer did.

According to WOKQ 97.5, Spencer was sitting at a sidewalk piano in Massachusetts, playing one of his favorite songs "Ophelia."

Two people started listening from afar and immediately went over to him to film a video. Little did he know, that the singer of the song he was playing was literally behind him.

The band's founding member, Jeremiah Fraites, was in walking around the streets of Boston as it was his day off from touring when he stumbled upon the talented gentleman.

In the video posted on the band's official Instagram account, Fraites can be seen playing around the piano while the performer is playing. At the time, he had no idea who that person is.

The cameraman, who turns out to be Nicholas Sutton Bell, finally revealed to Spencer that it was Fraites' song.

The performer was shocked and said, "I was like, this is the guy from Lumineers, you got to be f****** kidding me."

The two had an interaction where Spencer revealed he tried getting tickets for their last show but was unable to come.

The singer then asked him if he wanted to see them perform to which he replied, "Yes, absolutely."

"At first, he didn't realize that I was from The Lumineers, but he was kind enough to let me hop in and play with him. Great playing with you @samuelcspencer," the band captioned the post on Instagram.

Not the First Time a Band Invites a Street Performer to a Concert

Although it's a rare moment for a musician to notice street performers and fans, Maroon 5's Adam Levine made a big move when he was in Israel for a concert.

In early reports, the former "The Voice" was hanging out in his hotel room in Tel Aviv when he heared someone from the radio performing their song "Sunday Morning."

The frontman was amazed upon seeing the street performer named Coral Bismuth.

She was then invited to perform on stage in front of 60,000 people at Yarkon Park.

The two performed the chart-topping single together.
