Coldplay frontman Chris Martin paused their Wembley concert recently to ask for a special request from his fans - to stop filming while they are performing a particular song.

The request, as fans described it, was warranted, especially with the vibe that the concert gave.

However, some fans were not convinced that Martin's move was organic.

Coldplay Wembley Concert Paused Upon Chris Martin's Request

According to Daily Mail UK, Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" Concert was halted based on the frontman's request.

Midway into singing a Sky Full of Stars, Chris Martin stopped and asked the audience to temporarily stop filming the performance.

I'll speed through this because we wanna get all the songs in before they shut the thing down. So, let's try that again but please if we could just have one song with no cell phones, no cameras, no devices, nothing, just the power of people, people power," he asked the crowd.

The particular request was met with roaring applause from the hyped-up audience.

TikTok videos documenting the moment have emerged, which many netizens have come to appreciate.

'Without a doubt, the highlight of the night came shortly after this video ended," a user posted along with the video of Chris Martin's request.

The Coldplay frontman wanted the crowd to "connect" to them through disconnecting with their phones.

'After this song, you can film everything. But for this one song, let's just be people together, me, you, my brother, my sister, and let's try it again." Chris announced.

While everyone seemed to be in awe of the rather spontaneous request that Martin had, some fans and netizens were not at all convinced.

Apparently, this was not the first time that Martin had asked the said request.

According to a user who has been to other concerts of the band's "Music for the Spheres" Tour, the request was planned for every concert.

But despite the revelation, fans remain high-spirited and still excited about Coldplay's upcoming concerts.

Natalie Imbruglia and Jacob Collier surprised the crowd after making an appearance at the Wembley concert.
