It has been a while since Jeremy Spencer left Five-Finger Death Punch, but fans have seen him in Psycho Synner, and they will now see more of him with his new death metal band Semi-Rotten.

To celebrate the launch of Semi-Rotten, the Las Vagas, Nevada-based death metal band released their debut EP "Deader Than Dead."

Under the helm of Spencer, he recruited Lorna Shore and Will Ramos with Semi-Rotten's debut single "Torture Congregation."

Semi-Rotten came prepared for their launch because they released not only their debut single but also "Shotgun Symphony."

The Congregation's First Meeting

"I kept hearing Lorna Shore on Liquid Metal and on playlists," Spencer shared. "Will does really unique things with his voice. It's amazing. When they were in Las Vegas, I went to the show, and I was blown away."

Spencer added that Ramos was more than willing to join the collaboration, as he sent back his vocals for the track after two days. Spencer commended Ramos, saying "he's at the top of [the] genre."

Asked about "Deader Than Dead," Spencer hopes that fans have " a fun and solid listening experience." He noted that the EP is meant to be listened to from start to finish to better understand the artistry and story.

"Enjoy each moment. It kicks your ass, grabs you, and doesn't let you go," he said

Aside from the released singled, "Deader Than Dead" EP also includes two more tracks: "Hammer Teeth" and the title track "Deader Than Dead."

Spencer's Roots

The former Five-Finger Death Punch drummer shared that he first got into the death metal genre in high school. He became fascinated with the genre's uniqueness and how it made him feel.

"I'd never seen anything like it, but it was fucking awesome," he recalled. It was this fascination that brought him to launch Semi-Rotten, too, he explained.

He shared that he would listen to music like "Mortician, Cemetery Lust" as he began his day, and it was what brought him back.

He enlisted the help of Shawn McGhee for the guitar, AP of Gemini Syndrome for bass, while Spencer returned to the drums.
