The MTV Video Music Awards 2022 is coming this weekend, and just like the GRAMMYs, the show is gearing towards a huge night for artists nominated in the bill.

With a very packed performance list and confirmed star attendance, the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 might even top the 2022 GRAMMYs with the glitz and the drama the show that fans expect to see.

Nicki Minaj will be receiving her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers are spicing up the stage with a performance before receiving this year's Global Icon Award.

Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow, and Lil Nas X head the nomination list, all with seven nominations each.

But despite being the most-nominated artists of the night, recent projections reveal that Harry Styles and Taylor Swift would be going head to head for the most moonmans on the weekend.

2022 MTV Video Music Awards Prediction

According to Golden Derby, Taylor Swift might emerge victorious on August 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

Based on the odds, Taylor has a strong chance of taking home the highest award of the night, the Video of the Year, with her banger "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)." Harry Styles' "As It Was," which is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, pose a strong runner-up. Meanwhile, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow's GRAMMY-nominated "Industry Baby" is third.

Just like in the BET Awards, Latto is pressed to take a moon man for Best New Artist, beating Baby Keem, Dove Cameron, Maneskin, SEVENTEEN, and GAYLE along the way. Odds are also leaning towards Latto for taking home "Big Energy" despite Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby's hype behind "Do We Have a Problem" for Best Hip-Hop video.

For Artist of the Year, Rolling Stone's Most Wanted Man Harry Styles is projected to win, going head to head with Billboard 200 leader Bad Bunny. Styles maintains a solid edge for Best Pop Video for "As It Was."

Lizzo's TikTok viral "About Damn Time" is a strong lead for both Song of the Year and Video for Good.

Furthermore, Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber's "STAY" is up and projected to take home Best Collaboration.

Taylor Swift is expected to bag two more awards, Best Long Form Video and Best Direction, all for "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)." Should Swift win all three, she would make MTV history by being the first artist to win Video of the Year thrice.
