Rockband The Pretty Reckless released the remix of "Got So High," and to sweeten the pot, announced the release of their forthcoming album "Other Worlds."

Set to be released on Nov. 4 via Century Media Records, the album reportedly will include a collection of acoustic recordings as well as covers and rerecorded material.

The Pretty Reckless also enlisted the help of various artists to collaborate on "Other Worlds," including Matt Cameron for a cover of "Halfway There" by King Animal, and Alain Johannes for their acoustic rendition of "The Keeper" by Chris Cornell.

David Bowie pianist Mike Garson was featured for "Quicksand" by White Duke. This is only a glimpse of how much the New York City-based band prepared for this.

Setting The Tone

The Pretty Reckless comprises Taylor Momsen for lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Ben Phillips playing the lead guitar, Mark Damon for bass, and Jamie Perkins with the drums.

The band released "Light me Up," their debut studio album in 2010, followed by "Go To Hell" four years later. "Who You Selling For" was released in 2016, and their latest album "Death By Rock And Roll" was released the previous year.

"For a long time, we've been trying to figure out an alternative way of releasing music, including songs we love that didn't make our records, covers, and alternate versions," said Momsen in a press statement.

"Got So High (Remix)" is the band's way of showing fans what is in store for "Other Worlds."

New Direction?

Momsen revealed that the fans' feedback was what made them consider releasing acoustic versions of their songs, as they have always stuck to their rock band image and the rock genre.

"So, this is a different take on the traditional format of a record and a stripped back version of us that our fans haven't really heard before, but it's still us," she added.

Phillips enthusiastically hinted that fans should watch out for the release of the album, saying "You get to hear a different side of Taylor's vocals."

The Pretty Reckless released the 11 tracks included in the album, four of which are acoustic versions.

It opens with "Got So High (Remix)" to set the tone for the album, followed by "Loud Love," "The Keeper," "Quicksand," "Halfway There," "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding."

The acoustic versions of "25," "Only Love Can Save Me Now," "Death By Rock and Roll," "Harley Darling," and the album version of "Got So High."

The Pretty Reckless also announced their tour, beginning at Glasgow Barrowland on Oct 26, and ending at the London O2 Academy Brixton on Nov. 5.
