VMAs 2022 After Party Highlights: Nicki Minaj & Taylor Swift Reunion, Lizzo Fangirling?

After the widely talked about MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday, artists and celebrities crossed the New Jersey border to New York to attend the Republic Records after party in Fleur Room.

Among those who were in attendance were the two most celebrated artists of the night - Taylor Swift and Video Vanguard Royalty Nicki Minaj.

Taylor Swift 'Midnights' Inspired Outfit

Taylor Swift made a bombshell announcement last Sunday. After receiving her third moonman of the night for Video of the Year, she went on to send everyone in Prudential Center and her fans worldwide into a frenzy after announcing her new album, "Midnights," on October 21. In her afterparty outfit, Taylor sported a starry midnight blue Moschino playsuit, staying true to her album.

Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift Reunion

If you were surprised by why many fans are raving over Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift's interaction at the VMAs last Sunday, it's because the two had a somewhat rocky friendship in 2015. But since then, the two played it cool. While Nicki's performing her hit song "Super Bass," Swift was seen enjoying herself to the music. Nicki also thanked her in one of her two acceptance speeches, noting how Taylor was instrumental to the success of "Super Bass" at the time.

Blinks and Barbz are in unison that Rose and Nicki looked stunning in their photo together at the VMAs Afterparty. Clad in her Champagne-colored high-slit Burberry dress, Nicki is still wearing her iconic Barbie pink wig. Rose, on the other hand, is in her streetwear era as she sported a black skeleton graphic tee with a messy pinned-up look.

Sabrina Carpenter Strutted The Streets With Her White Pumps

Sabrina Carpenter made waves as Popsugar named her one of the best-dressed stars in the VMAs last Sunday. She continued the streak as she sported those high Valentino white pumps at the afterparty with what seemed to be a laced white dress that matched the shoes.

Lizzo Makes TikTok With BLACKPINK, Fergie?

Although this is not an outtake from the VMAs Afterparty, Lizzo's TikToks is too adorable not to include as a highlight of the memorable VMAs. The "About Damn Time" singer uploaded a TikTok between her and BLACKPINK's Lisa and Jisoo while on the VMAs backstage. She even had a short encounter with Fergie in between the show's breaks.
