Recently, Billie Eilish picked Sarah Michelle Gellar as her celebrity crush, and it did wonders for the actress. Why would she would need that shoutout when she's a formidable personality herself though?

The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" actress explained that the shout-out earned her big street cred with her teenage daughter Charlotte.

She said it was just incredible on her Friday appearance on The Talk. She explained that when she saw the comment from Eilish, she knew that her daughter will finally see her as "cool." She added that for her daughter, none of her actions can be considered cool. In fact, most of them just do not impress her kid.

The "Scooby Doo" actor said she assumed some of her pals showed her on the bus, as her daughter does not use social media. As a result, she returned home elated.

Gellar joked that it earned her some cool points that lasted only for a week.

She does not need to fret though. Soon her daughter might see her "Do Revenge" project and this might make her prouder to have Gellar as her mom.

Gellar has recently returned to the world of teen drama with her starring part in the new Netflix series Do Revenge, in which she plays the principal of a prestigious high school opposite Camila Mendes, Maya Hawke, and Austin Abrams.

Meanwhile, Eilish is starring in her own ad as the face of Gucci's new eyewear line, complete with a vintage Hollywood noir-inspired aesthetic.

Last week, the "Happier Than Ever" singer spoke overcoming her phobia of public areas while on the Australian leg of her ongoing world tour for "Happier Than Ever, The World Tour."

This is hardly the first time Eilish mentioned how big of a crush she has of Gellar though. Billie Eilish has made the claim way back in May. She even got a response back from Gellar!

Gellar, whose portrayal of Summers won her five Teen Choice Awards, a Saturn Award, and a nomination for a Golden Globe Award, responded unexpectedly to Eilish. "I'm dead, that's all," Sarah shared in a post on her Instagram. "I'm not a child anymore, but I totally have a crush on @billieeilish Ok... now that's really all."

Eilish was speechless and simply exclaimed, "Oh my gosh." Gellar and Eilish are 45 and 20 years old, respectively, which explains why the singer expressed her enthusiasm for the legendary vampire series Buffy, which captivated millions of fans from 1997 to 2003. Since 2009, Gellar has not acted and has only appeared in a handful of short projects. Hopefully, the new Netflix series will rectify the situation.
