PnB Rock's body will finally be released to his bereaved family.
Getting PnB Rock's body from the medical examiner's office and the authorities have been a dramatic process as the autopsy was reportedly against the family's religion.
A news outlet recently confirmed that his bereaved family has been having a tough time preparing for his funeral and burial since they could not hold a traditional Muslim burial because of the autopsy.
According to PnB Rock's mother, she wanted to see her son's body as soon as possible as part of their religion. However, the medical examiner refused to release his body as it was part of a homicide investigation.
Meanwhile, his brother, PnB Meen, shared similar sentiments saying that the family was having issues since it affected their plans on how and when to hold the rapper's Janazah. The term refers to the event that the bereaved family holds three days after a Muslim dies.
His mother tried to meet the deadline by flying to Los Angeles from Philadelphia. When she tried communicating with the medical examiner's office to try to get his body, she received no luck at all.
Another source revealed that the family did not want an autopsy to be performed as it is against their religion. But the medical examiner's office pushed it through by law.
The news came days after the medical examiner finally released the autopsy findings on Friday, saying that PnB Rock's cause of death was due to a gunshot wound to his back/chest. It also noted that his nature of death was a homicide.

Amid the dramas between the family and medical examiner's office, internet users also stirred theories about PnB Rock's death.
After his passing, Los Angeles Police Chief Department said that they were looking into the possibility that the post online by his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, probably led the suspect to the victim.

"[PnB] was with his family - with his girlfriend or some kind of friend of his - and as they're there, enjoying a simple meal, [he] was brutally attacked by an individual who apparently [came] to the location after a social media posting," Police Chief Michel Moore explained.
Meanwhile, the theories pointed out that Sibounheuang probably plotted it and broadcasted their whereabouts.
Other theories claimed that his murder was planned by his former record label in order to claim his life insurance.
