Shania Twain learned that while Oprah Winfrey can talk about everything nder the sun, bringing up religion especially over dinner is a bad idea. It's simply not a topic that Winfrey is up for any debate on.

Wednesday, the country music diva, 57, revealed on the podcast "Table Manners with Jessie Ware and Lennie Ware" that a polarizing subject made her talk with the media mogul, 68, "sour."

Twain, who did not indicate when the meal took place, claimed that it was just fantastic to just sit and have real conversations, but as soon as she and Oprah started talking about religion, everything turned bad.

The "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" singer stated that Winfrey is "very religious" while Twain is more "spiritual."
She added that she's not religious in the sense of being devoted to a faith. Instead, she's significantly more spiritual and a seeker.

Despite their divergent opinions, Twain stated that she was open to having a conversation, but Winfrey stated that the matter was "not debatable."

Winfrey's representative did not respond quickly to Page Six's request for comment on Twain's allegations.

In a 2015 interview with AARP Bulletin, the founder of Oprah magazine, who was raised Baptist, discussed her relationship with her faith and how she perceives individuals from different backgrounds. It's weird because she somehow said then that she's very open to all sorts of religion and would appear to be more spiritual than religious, too, just like Twain.

For her to live in a world that excludes others who are not Christian would be antithetical to Christianity, she stated at the time. She added that she persoanlly cannot describe "God," thus it is natural for her to be open to the mystical and mystery of God.

She then said when people criticize her for not being what they are, she would always reply that it's working for her, has worked for me, and will continue to work for her in a way that fills me with peace and contentment over what God means to her.

The fact that Winfrey and Twain had a disagreement at that dinner did not prevent them from working together.

The "You're Still the One" singer has appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and starred in her own reality show titled "Why Not? with Shania Twain" on Winfrey's OWN network.
