The fans were surprised by Coolio's passing, but his family members were most affected.
At shortly before 5 PM on September 28, 2022, the late rapper passed away. He was discovered unconscious in the bathtub of a friend's residence in Los Angeles.
On the day of his passing, the "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper had flown in especially to celebrate both the first birthday of one of his grandchildren and the 33rd birthday of his son Artis Ivey III.
At the age of 59, Coolio unfortunately passed away abruptly in the afternoon, just hours after meeting the family in the morning.
The rapper's mother, Dimp, confirmed the information to The Sun, stating that he stepped off the plane and walked directly to the park for his grandson's first birthday.
Dimp claimed she wanted people to be aware of the fact that the renowned rapper has a family.
"Just to say was there for his children and grandkids. He had just left Brandi's house the day he passed away, which was on his son Artis 33rd birthday."
Coolio Cause of Death
The paramedics attempted to resuscitate Coolio, but he was already dead when they arrived.
The rescue team attempted CPR after discovering his motionless body, but after 45 minute she was pronounced dead.
But how did Coolie pass away?
Although the cause of his death has not been made public, it is thought that he suffered a heart attack and passed away as a result.
A "fatal event" occurs in 40 to 50 percent of heart attacks, according to Dr. Chawla on LiveWell.
Many people choose to ignore the warning signs, which often appear weeks or months before a heart attack with total blockage.
The heart isn't getting blood at that moment, and it may enter a rhythm that is life-threatening and manifests as cardiac arrest.

According to TMZ, the rapper's pals believe that his "severe asthma" also played a role in his premature passing.
People with chronic asthma may be more likely to develop a cardiac rhythm issue, per a research by the American Heart Association.
But in spite of his poor health, Coolio gave multiple performances in the days before he passed away. Even so, he performed for almost 40 minutes total.
During his performances, Coolio appeared to be moving around the stage with a lot of energy.
And a week before he passed away, he was spotted by admirers at the airport, where he interacted with them, smiled for the camera, and laughed.
