Freddie Mercury might have been dead for decades now, but his legacy will remain forever because of his contribution in the music industry. Recently, Queen released a never-before-heard single that features the iconic vocals of the late singer.

According to Sky News, the new song titled "Face It Alone" was recorded in 1998 when they were having music sessions for their 13th studio album "The Miracle."

Unfortunately, at the time, the song wasn't able to reach the official tracklist until it was long forgotten by surviving members Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Decades have passed, and the band's production and archive team stumbled upon the song while they were working on the upcoming reissue of the album to celebrate its legacy.

In addition to new music, the reissued record will also feature Queen's conversations while recording the songs in London and Montreux, Switzerland.

Speaking about the new song, Taylor admitted that they had "kind of forgotten" about the track, but they were happy they were able to find it again as they consider it a "little gem" and "a real discovery."

On the other hand, May is happy that they stumbled upon the song because it's great to hear the four of them together after many years.

"After all these years, it's great to hear all four of us ... working in the studio on a great song idea which never quite got completed ... until now!" he said. (via CNN Entertainment)
