Slipknot members have been addressing disbandment rumors which surfaced after releasing the album "The End, So Far." This time, Jay Weinberg shared his thoughts about the buzz and explained how they came up with the title.

On September 30, the full album "The End, So Far" was released. It served as the band's latest project following the 2019 "We Are Not Your Kind."

Because of its title, fans assumed Slipknot would disband decades after its debut in 1995.

But that is not the case after all.

What Does Slipknot's "The End, So Far" Mean?

In a recent interview shared by Loudwire, Weinberg opened up about the speculations surrounding the band and the album, revealing the history of the 2022 music.

When asked about the "cryptic and mysterious" title of the new record, he revealed that the band was almost done with recording the album but had not come up with a title. He then texted Corey Taylor to ask him for his opinion, and the member texted back with "The End, So Far."

"I completely got it because, to us it feels very much like the end of one chapter of Slipknot's lineage and the beginning of another. We are quite fatalistic when it comes to making new stuff. Ever since I joined the band, we kind of joke when we're in the studio, 'Oh, man, it's going to be the last one. The Gray Chapter... could be the last one. We Are Not Your Kind... could be the last one...'" he continuously said.

Instead of being its last album, Slipknot reportedly made the album while thinking that tomorrow is never promised. The band members agreed to treat every album and every show as if they are going to be Slipknot's last.

Far from what the public thought, "The End, So Far" tackles Slipknot's dawn of a new age.

In response to this, the interviewer asked for Weinberg's thoughts about the classic bands and if they can deliver the same type of music as they did when they debuted.

He chose to talk about the band's pure sense of love for creating music and how the pandemic caused everyone to realize that the ecosystem is fragile and should not be taken for granted.

Weinberg's comment resonated with what Taylor said during the group's show in Bulgaria. Per the frontman, the album only represents the end of one moment for Slipknot and beginning of a new era.
