Ever since Kanye West started sharing anti-Semitic remarks on social media and during his interview appearances, numerous brands and companies have cut ties with him immediately as they don't support his moral views as well as his comments.

Since the rapper is a musician, many fans have been wondering if his music will remain on major streaming platforms like Spotify. Recently, the music giant spoke out about the matter.

Speaking to Reuters, the Swedish-based company's chief, Daniel Ek, said they will not pull out the rapper's music from their platform.

Although they agree that West's behavior online and in interviews is "just awful," his music doesn't violate any anti-hate policies on the platform.

The only way for him to be kicked off the platform is if ever he released songs or podcast episodes that contain hate speech.

"It's really just his music, and his music doesn't violate our policy," Ek said, before clarifying that another way for his songs to be removed from the streaming app is if his record label wishes to.

Def Jam, West's label under Universal Music, currently owns the copyright to the rapper's songs from 2002 to 2016. They have been working with West until last year.

The music giant issued a statement about the musician's recent actions, saying there is no place for "antisemitism in our society."

As of this writing, Kanye West's songs are still accessible on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music.

More Brands Cut Ties With Kanye West

The interview comes a few days after Ari Emanuel wrote a column in the Financial Times, calling companies to cut ties with the rapper due to his anti-Semitic remarks.

He added that the Yeezy founder has a big influence on the world as he's a "pop culture icon" and among of his fans are young people whose "views are still being formed."

In recent reports, TJ Maxx is the latest company to cut ties with the rapper as announced Wednesday.

The retail company issued a statement to CNN Business, saying they don't tolerate discrimination, harassment, or "hate of any kind."

The brand had already instructed its buying teams not to purchase West's merchandise in any of its stores around the world.
