The Jeezy and Freddie Gibbs drama is now all water under the bridge, the latter cited miscommunication as the reason behind their beef, and it was actually a conversation Jeezy had with Nas that indirectly ended their beef.

"The Freddie s**t, it was just bad communication, the rapper told Billboard. "Same thing with [Rick] Ross-just bad communication, and it took the right people to get in the mix."

He recalled an instance wherein Nas claimed that hip hop is dead, which left a number of rappers furious and fuming at the New York native. Jeezy added that he was "kinda spazzing out" on the radio when Nas decided to give him a call.

"I'll never forget when I got in the car from the radio station, somebody from Def Jam was like, 'Nas wanna holla at you. He's on the phone.' I'm ready for whatever he's gonna say-I'm all for it," he shared. "We can fight dogs, race cars, shoot guns or whatever he wanna do."

However, much to his surprise, Nas did not ask for a fight-race cars, shoot guns, or anything-he just wanted to talk.

"He said, 'What's up, King?' He asked how I'm feeling, and he was like, 'I can understand your frustration, but let me explain what I'm saying, and how it has nothing to do with you.' He was so calm - and I always remembered that."

Calm

According to reports, this phone call he had with Nas was the reason for his composure during his conversation with Gibbs.

"When me and Freddie had our thing, that was one of the reasons I remained calm - because I've been on the other side of that," he revealed.

"So I'm hearing his frustration, and I get it because we're doing business and not everybody's gonna be happy. It's like being married, you gotta communicate. You can't be like, 'I'm gonna blow the whole house up.'"

He continued on by saying that he thinks Black men have issues with communication-something the "Standing Ovation" rapper acknowledges in himself and is working on.

"It was love. That's it. It wasn't even nothing to have a conversation about, because we both knew where we stood at that. So going forward, we gotta communicate better."

Relief

As Gibbs promoted his recently released album, "$oul $old $eparately" on the podcast show "The Bootleg Kev," he opened up about how he and Jeezy ended their longtime beef.

He shared that he saw Jeezy at an airport and they shook hands and hugged.

"It was just like, damn, it was a relief for both of us, I feel like. It was like a hug, we exchanged numbers and we both got on a plane and that was it. It was one of the most beautiful things ever, I think."

He continued, "that was f**kin' - a music disagreement, you know what I mean? Like, I didn't really have nothin', you know, against Jeezy."
