Kanye West and Julia Fox had dated-very briefly-earlier this year, and according to the actress, it was a horrible decision as it affected her career.

In an interview with Emily Ratajkowski, for her "High Low with EmRata" podcast, the 32-year-old actress claimed, "After this whole big relationship and all the things that followed, I definitely felt like, oh I feel a shift in like the acting way, not in a good way."

According to her, the movie offers did not come as quickly and as many as they did prior to her relationship with the controversial rapper.

"It's like I'm not getting as many offers as I was before, weirdly," she said, and added that she might have been viewed as a "liability, just tabloid type of person."

Six Weeks

According to reports, Fox dated West for a total of six weeks. Perhaps it was West's attempt of moving on from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce in February of the previous year.

"There's been a lot of weird drawbacks with reaching that level of notoriety," Fox said of the relationship

While it was quite brief, it still left a dent in her career. She was quite relieved and "proud of herself" for walking away from the relationship after the first sign of a red flag, Page Six reports.

Even fans were left surprised and confused by the whirlwind romance, and the crazy aftermath of it. Several netizens called Fox out for being a "golddigger," saying that she only went after the then-billionaire because of the cash.

Perhaps Fox did not anticipate that her former beau would be involved in a series of controversies following their relationship. According to the Daily Mail UK, Fox was smitten with the rapper, and said they had an "instant connection."

On the other hand, West was enamored with the "Uncut Gems" star; a source told E News: "He truly loved her energy and passionate personality and knew she would be a perfect person to bounce creative ideas off of. He thinks she has refreshing energy and they are having a lot of fun."

However, despite what fans claim might be the reason behind Fox's lack of castings, she "really [does not] care."

"It's fine, I'm so busy. I think things come to you at the right time, so that's why I'm really not stressing," she said.
