Omarion's career has been through ups and downs, but his fans constantly make sure he is not alone in any of those events.

The R&B singer, whose real name is Omari Ishmael Grandberry, is celebrating his 38th birthday this year. Born on November 12, 1984, Omarion worked hard to establish his own empire before debuting as an artist at the age of 15.

Before rising to fame, he was tapped to appear in the commercials for McDonald's and Kellogg's Corn Pops. His love for R&B developed soon after he worked as a background dancer for Before Dark.

From there, Omarion found his luck in the R&B industry.

Omarion's Early Days With B2K

During a New Year's Party in 1999, music manager Chris Stokes spotted him and asked him if he could be the lead singer of a "Boys of the New Millennium" band. He then chose Omarion as his stage name and debuted with B2K.

Although the band started its career by touring with Lil Bow Wow, it eventually released its debut single, "Uh Huh," in 2001.

The following year, it dropped its self-titled album, which reached Billboard 200's No. 2 spot and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart's No.1.

Omarion continued to become B2K's lead singer until its disbandment in 2004.

Omarion Has a Fruitful Acting Career

Although he works best as an R&B singer, Omarion proved he is multi-talented by starring in several films.

Before B2K's disbandment, he and his co-bandmates appeared in "You Got Served." He then landed on the role of the school bully named Reggie in the comedy, "Fat Albert." The film is based on the animated series titled, "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

Omarion continuously appeared in more films and TV series, including "The Proud Family Movie," "Feel the Noise," "Somebody Help Me," "Wrong Side of Town," "Somebody Help Me," "Cuts," and "One on One," to name a few.

Omarion Launched Solo Career

Omarion expanded his career, even more, when he pursued a solo career after B2K disbanded. His 2005 debut solo album, "O," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. He collaborated with Timbaland for his "Ice Box," which is being referred to as his most successful solo single as of press time.

Where Is Omarion Now?

This year, Omarion scored the Top R&B Tour and Top Rap Tour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards before appearing in a Verzuz with Mario.

The singer released his second book, "Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy," earlier this year and unveiled his docuseries, "Omega: The Gift and the Curse."

Omarion has not announced new music or project, but fans are indeed looking forward to seeing more of him in the following decades!
