Trey Songz is once again facing assault charges after being accused of beating a woman up at a New York City bowling alley over the weekend.

According to reports, the woman, whose name was not disclosed, identified the singer by his name to law enforcement when she filed a police report against him.

"A source close to the investigation informs us that TS has been cooperative with authorities and expects that when all the evidence is reviewed, he will be exonerated," said Mitchell Schuster, his lawyer.

"This is another instance where those involved try to blame the celebrity with hopes of getting fame or riches."

TMZ reports that the woman is a worker at the said establishment. She alleged that Songz punched her in the face and dragged her by her hair.

She went to a hospital, where she was treated for "visible, minor injuries," and decided to file a police report.

Several reports say that law enforcement is very eager to get in touch with the R&B singer to bring him in for questioning. As of this writing, the case is actively being investigated.

History of Assault

This is but another record and case filed against Songz, who has been accused of physical and sexual assault several times before.

Rap-Up noted that Songz faced a $20 million lawsuit earlier this year. The woman, in that case, accused the singer of sexually assaulting her, noting that she had a consensual relationship with Songz until he suddenly turned into a "savage rapist." This case was dropped due to the statute of limitations running out.

In another instance, he was charged with another sexual assault case that happened in Las Vegas in November of the previous year. However, charges against the singer have since been dropped.

In 2017, news broke out that Keke Palmer accused Songz of using "sexual intimidation" to get her to appear in the music video of his song "Pick Up The Phone."

These are but a few of the allegations against Songz, since there are several more.

Netizens took to Twitter to express their frustrations: "Trey Songz is prime example of how multiple women can come out exposing a man's true colors & society will continuously give him a pass until someone ends up seriously hurt," a netizen wrote.

"Trey Songz is a repeat offender almost yearly he has a story of being violent or accused of sexual assault," another added.

A fan tweeted: "So y'all ain't gonna arrest Trey Songz til he get caught on camera huh?"
