Tom Jones is ready to conquer the stage again following a medical procedure.

On Wednesday, Jones revealed to fans that he received a new hip through an operation this week. He shared his health journey through a post on Instagram.

He shared the announcement alongside a simple caption featuring different emojis, including a looking emoji, a knee-bending emoji, and a coy, smiley face.

"Papa has two new hips now! "For all those concerned and sent in well wishes, I am pleased to report my recent surgery went very well, I'm following orders and doing my physio, so happy to say I will be back soon," Jones went on.

The 82-year-old crooner decided to receive the procedure months after suffering from chronic pain. The music icon first received a hip replacement in 2017 and continued undergoing pain-relief therapy to reduce what he had been feeling.

The inversion therapy involved him being strapped to a table before turning upside down to ease the pain. Due to the body's gravity, the pressure in his hip area eased off.

Friends, colleagues, and fans delivered heartfelt messages to him as he continues to recover, including Gavin Rossdale and Emma Willis.

Last year, he told Mail Online that the issues with his hips made him sit down for three-quarters of his performances. He revealed he could sing four songs without sitting.

He noted that he did not want to take any painkillers nor follow a special diet. Thus, he had to be more careful while waiting for his second, new hip.

Tom Jones' Previous Health Issue

Earlier this year, rumors that Jones' health had been deteriorating emerged following the postponement of his show.

The buzz claimed the singer collapsed on stage, but the "It's Not Usual' singer dismissed the claims and said that he suffered from laryngitis.

According to Jones, he woke up to an uncomfortable throat while traveling from the UK to Budapest. He sought consultation from a specialist who eventually diagnosed him properly and advised him to postpone the show.

At that time, his doctor told him to take medication and have a vocal rest. He proved he was doing well by saying that he would return in the rescheduled show.

"Unfortunately the show had to be cancelled at the last minute, and for that I am very sorry. However, the show in Budapest has been rescheduled and will take place on August 16. Thanks again for all your kind concern," he concluded (via The Sun).
