Celine Dion has a heartfelt goal as she does her best to beat her recent health diagnosis.

The postponement of Dion's several Europe tour dates left fans worried as the singer also disclosed her health status that keeps her away from the spotlight. She opened up about her stiff-person syndrome through an emotional Instagram video on Thursday.

According to Yale Medicine, the condition causes a person's muscles in the limbs and torso to suffer spasms and rigidity. The spasms can be triggered by loud noises, emotional distress, and other certain stimuli, but they can also happen randomly. Unfortunately, the cause of the rare disease remains unknown.

Amid her health battle, a source revealed that the "To Love You More" hitmaker aims to get back on stage and see her fans again soon.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, the insider said the 54-year-old singer feels overwhelmed and moved by the enormous amount of love and support she has received since revealing her diagnosis.

"It's been a very difficult time and she has a hard road ahead of her, but she is doing everything she can to get back on stage and see her fans. They have always been there for her. For now, she is focusing on her health and her children. She is the picture of resilience," the source said.

On the other hand, her fans continuously offered her prayers and well-wishes through social media posts.

Celine Dion Went Through Heartbreaks

As fans recalled, Dion indeed had been through a lot in the past years before learning about her own health issue.

In 2006, the superstar's husband and mentor-manager René Angélil died at the age of 73. Dion's official website revealed that he died at their Las Vegas home after "a long and courageous battle against cancer."

Days later, her brother Daniel Dion, passed away. The 59-year-old also died of cancer, and he spent his last days at the palliative care center Maison Adhemar-Dion in Terrebonne, Quebec.

According to Claudette Dion, their brother died after suffering from a similar illness to Angélil, confirming that he had cancer of the throat, brain, and tongue.

The "Power of Love" songstress also struggled with several health issues before her recent diagnosis. She once underwent ear surgery to correct her patulous eustachian tube dysfunction.

In addition, she was bombarded with rumors that she had an eating disorder.

Last year, she started suffering from the symptoms of the rare neurological disease - from having severe, persistent muscle spasms to feeling too sick to perform.
