The person accused of killing Takeoff is presently in police custody, but it appears that one piece of evidence made it possible for them to do so.

A piece of video evidence showed Takeoff's alleged killer Patrick Xavier Clark in possession of a wine bottle during the time of the shooting, according to an affidavit obtained by New York Times reporter Joe Coscarelli, which revealed a lot more details about the Migos rapper's murder investigation.

A deadly game of dice at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, resulted in a shooting early on November 1, 2022. The gun that murdered Takeoff also wounded two more people.

The affidavit reads, "During the actual shooting, Clark was holding a wine bottle in one hand while he discharged the firearm with the other."

It went on to state, "Immediately after the shooting, Clark ran over by the House of Blues, where he set the wine bottle down and never came back for it."

During their first inquiry, investigators were able to retrieve the bottle, and forensic testing proved Patrick's prints on it.

The document also included details about a man named Willie Bland, who is listed as a friend of Quavo, a rapper with the Migos.

Willie claimed to be a member of a group that includes Takeoff and Quavo and that was in Houston to see Jas Prince.

Quavo, who was present at the scene with Takeoff, reportedly got into a fight over a dice game with Michael Prince, Cameron Joshua, and Christopher Watkins. Willie also said he saw Cameron and Christopher carrying weapons at the gym and the bowling alley early that morning.

When Quavo turned and walked away from the verbal argument, Willie apparently thought Cameron had said something and started to draw a revolver.

Then, believing the armed men were attempting to rob the Migos member, he retaliated by hitting Cameron. However, he said that Takeoff wasn't a part of the altercation.

Gunfire immediately broke out as Willie thought Cameron was shooting him; he subsequently admitted that he had really begun to shoot at Cameron.

The injuries Takeoff and the other victims sustained and the angles of their wounds led authorities to conclude that Willie did not fire Takeoff and the other victims even though they were unable to discover video evidence of Cameron firing a gun.

Patrick Xavier Clark was later identified by police as the shooter who killed Takeoff.

He was taken into custody on December 1 and charged right away with the rapper's murder. Due to the $2 million bond that the judge set for Patrick, he is currently detained.
