FLO do not wish to be in the "shadow" of Little Mix. The all-female trio of Jorja Douglas, Renée Downer, and Stella Quaresma has made history by becoming the first group to win the BRITs Rising Star award. And, the girls have insisted that they wish to forge their own path, though they are grateful to the girl group, which went on hiatus this year, for "paving the way" for them.

Jorja, 20, stated in an interview with the Metro column Guilty Pleasures that they are creating their own thing. They do not wish to live in Little Mix's shadow. She said that the renowned band clearly paved the way for them. They concurred that they could not have won their BRIT had they not won theirs [for best British group in 2021].

The "Losing You" singers have their sights set on a headlining slot at the Coachella festival in the United States, and they'd also like to appear on the cover of British Vogue.

Renée, also 20 years old, stated their goals: "Headline Coachella."

FLO were "so shocked and appreciative" to have won the award. They said that from growing up watching the BRITs, to finding each other and forming FLO, to releasing their first body of work in 2022, and to winning a BRIT in the same year, was nothing short of amazing.

They revealed that they are astounded and appreciative. They are the first group to win Rising Star at the BRITs!

This year, the band released their 1990s-influenced debut album 'Cardboard Box,' which they have performed on shows such as 'Later... with Jools Holland'. Adele, Florence and the Machine, Sam Fender, and Celeste are previous winners.

Additionally, Cat Burns and Nia Archives were nominated for the award, formerly known as the Critics' Choice prize. The BRIT Awards with Mastercard 2023 will take place at The O2 in London on Saturday, February 11.

Meanwhile, Little Mix spent the first part of 2022 touring the United Kingdom and Ireland in support of their sixth studio album titled "The Confetti". Since then, Thirlwall has signed a solo deal with RCA Records and collaborated with TWICE's Nayeon to pen the track "Candyfloss" for the K-pop idol's debut solo mini-album "IM NAYEON."

Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain became engaged in June, just months before their home in Cheshire County was burglarized while they were there with their 1-year-old son, Axel.

In February, Pinnock signed a solo deal with Warner Records, less than a year after BBC Three broadcasted her 2021 documentary "Race, Pop, and Power". She also gave birth to twins last year, whose names and genders she has chosen to keep private.
