Lewis Capaldi struggles to sell tickets for his Berlin performance. He said so himself. Could his jokes about Ed Sheeran be rubbing people in the wrong way?

Compared to the rest of Europe, ticket sales for the Scottish superstar's concert at the 17,000-seat Mercedes-Benz Arena in Germany are "abysmal."

He told Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2 that his tickets are actually selling well with the exception of Germany. He believes people in Germany are not really feeling his music at the moment. He added that everywhere else, he could feel his tickets are going to sell out and he even can see the prices rising. However, while the arena in Berlin can accommodate 17,000 people for the performance. he only sold 1,373 tickets.

Michael Bublé has recently joked that he will "cancel Christmas" if Lewis' song, "Pointless" does not reach number one. The latter recently joked that he had a "gripe" with the singer of "Home" because his new single is being outperformed by seasonal songs in the charts.

It can be recalled that Lewis Capaldi made fun of Ed Sheeran for surpassing him with the most streamed song of all time in the United Kingdom. With his 2018 single "Someone You Loved," the 26-year-old artist has displaced Ed's 2017 single "Shape Of You" from the number one spot. According to the Official Charts Company, Lewis' song has been heard 562 million times on audio and video.

In addition, in a recent interview, Lewis Capaldi made it appear that he's having a terrible time with the home he purchased on Ed Sheeran's recommendation.

The "Someone You Loved" singer reportedly spent £1.6 million on a converted farmhouse on the outskirts of Glasgow in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. On Monday (5 December), while appearing on "The Zane Lowe Show" on Apple Music, Capaldi referred to the investment as a "money pit."

The singer explained that he and Sheeran became "quite close" during the lockdown, and that Sheeran ultimately sent Capaldi a link to a house for sale, which Capaldi ultimately bought.

Capaldi conceded that he hadn't sufficiently explored the house. He implied that he purchased the wrong home because Ed Sheeran told him to.

"Yeah, I got very excited," Capaldi revealed. "And I'm here to tell you, the house is a f***ing s***hole. It's a money pit and it has been the bane of my existence for the last couple of months."

Sheeran had offered to purchase the property from Capaldi "if it would make him feel better."

"I just want to say that I didn't just send him one house, I sent him a bunch and he went to view them," Sheeran told US radio programme "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show."
