Just a few weeks ago, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson teased fans about the possibility of the band coming together to write and release music again. More recently, it appeared that his team hindered him from speaking too much as he revealed in a recent interview.

Speaking to SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk," as reported by Metal Sucks, the musician was asked if the band would ever play live again in the near future as the last time they performed in front of a live audience was almost seven years ago.

At first, he attempted to dodge the question by saying why would he answer that as there are five members in AC/DC and for him to be the only one being asked could be unfair to his bandmates.

The host went on to ask again by rephrasing his question, asking him if he would like to perform with the band again, but Johnson was firm and didn't answer it as he was told not to.

"Eddie, I cannot answer that. I've been told not to by everybody. It's the official line," he said. (via Blabbermouth)

Eddie Trunk didn't stop pressing him as he continued to ask more questions, this time, about the possibility of a new album as their last one titled "Power Up" was released in 2020.

The vocalist replied that it was getting "tabloidy."

"If I say one thing, it'll be blown out of all proportion. You just can't afford to talk now. There's too much blabber on the Internet. And I'm not on any kind of Face-thing or social media at all - never have been. It's just gossip," he added.

AC/DC Comeback Happening Soon?

In early reports, Brian Johnson said the band is "still a working entity of sorts" despite not creating a project over the past two years since the release of their last record "Power Up."

It seems like he was more laid back in his interview with Billboard as he revealed that he would love to "do music again" with his bandmates Stevie Young, Angus Young, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams.

In addition, the singer noted that he'd be up to making more music as his fans are waiting for them.

As of this writing, neither Johnson nor any of his bandmates have confirmed whether they'll have a comeback soon or not.
