Since the last years up till the present, Lizzo has dominated the music industry. But for the 34-year-old, things haven't always gone according to plan.

The singer of "About Damn Time" spoke out about her career's trajectory and where it has led her. She also acknowledged that her record of achievement hasn't always been as strong.

Lizzo, whose actual name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, stated that getting her $25 million house was a big "milestone" in a teaser clip for her forthcoming appearance on "Sunday Morning," per TMZ.

She had to couch-surf and live out of her vehicle before becoming famous, so having a large property to return home to was a huge success for her.

Reporter Tracy Smith asked, "Your house. I mean, just 10 years ago you were sleeping in your car."

The "Juice' hitmaker appeared emotional as she sighed and answered, "Yeah, yeah. And, like, woo, staying in people's rooms and sleeping on their couches."

Lizzo acknowledged that she is "fortunate" to stay in "very nice pleaces" when traveling, but said having her own home and having a bed to return to was important to her.

The singer of "Truth Hurts" also discussed the holidays, her favorite holiday meals, and having both indoor and outdoor Christmas trees.

"I'm literally Santa Claus; it's like not having anything for a long time and now that I do, I'm going crazy."

In a Vogue interview, Lizzo also provided a tour of her opulent home, including its walk-in designer closet, minimalist dining room, and open-concept corridor.

After acquiring her closest friend Harry Styles' $15 million mansion in October, which had a 58-foot infinity pool, she increased the size of her real estate holdings.

Lizzo Net Worth 2022

Lizzo has a "Good As Hell" net worth, and her recent Grammy and Emmy wins have put her halfway toward the EGOT.

She is well-known for singing, but she has also been in a reality TV series, worked on marketing and advertising campaigns with major international companies, dabbled in high-end real estate, and, of course, learnt to play a number of musical instruments.

Lizzo's net worth is $10 million in according with Wealthy Gorilla, while Celebrity Net Worth estimates it to be $12 million.

She spent years perfecting her skills in the Minneapolis music scene, so her popularity didn't come immediately.

She received her "first large cheque ever" thanks to Prince, which she apparently used to pay for three months of rent and a laptop, as she admitted to NPR in 2019.

2020 saw the platinum certification of her song "Cuz I Love You," while "Truth Hurts," "Good As Hell," and "Juice" reached seven, four, and double platinum, respectively.

With tickets costing between $40 and $80 and $90 to $100, Lizzo also earns money from her international tours.
