In the midst of the holiday season, Ricky Martin just made a heartbreaking decision.

After one nephew accused him of abuse and incest, the worldwide singer-dancer reportedly made the decision to sever relations with his family in order to shield himself from other unpleasant shocks. This was according to Radar Online.

Dennis Yadiel Sanchez stated at the beginning of the year that he and the "Livin' La Vida Loca" hitmaker had a seven-month romance.

He further said that when their relationship ended, Ricky turned into an obsessive stalker of him. The performer, however, refuted the charges and said that his nephew had simply made them up.

His legal lawsuit against his uncle was ultimately thrown out. At that time, a representative of Ricky's attorneys stated, "The accuser requested the case be dismissed."

"This was never anything more than a disturbed person making unfounded claims without any evidence to support them. We are pleased that justice was served for our client, who may now go on with his life and profession.

Then, in September, Ricky Martin sued Dennis for $20 million, alleging that Dennis had told lies that had cost him multi-million dollar engagements.

According to a source who talked with the magazine, Ricky is no longer taking any risks while he fights Dennis in court since it is still conceivable for other members of his family to file lawsuits in an effort to make a desperate money grab.

Everyone speaks about what happens to someone after they become famous, according to the source cited by Radar Online. But nobody ever discusses what happens to a celebrity's family when they suddenly become multimillionaires or powerful figures.

"Ricky was always very kind to his family," the insider revealed. He made sure that everyone profited from his success since he was the cash cow.

Ricky, however, "had thrown up barriers following the terrible charges made by his half-sister's kid."

It's terrible, but even Ricky's family can no longer be trusted.
