The Grammy Awards has always been a place of celebration of triumph and success in the music industry.
Every year, new artists and their works of art are recognized by The Recording Academy for their commercial and cultural impact on people not just in the United States but also in the world.
At the 65th annual Grammy Awards, taking place on Feb. 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, The Recording Academy has decided to honor the hip-hop genre as a whole for its 50th Anniversary in the country.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Grammys have pooled an all-star roster of Hip-hop artists to pump out a huge performance on Music's Biggest Night.
The publication says that recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Missy Elliott will be present on the show, along with Public Enemy, the living members of Grandmaster Flash (excluding Kid Creole), and Queen Latifah, RUN-DMC, GloRilla, Lil Wayne, and Rakim.

A plethora of other hip-hop artists, both old generations and new, will congregate on the ambitious number. Scarface, Big Boi, Dela Soul, Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderalla, Ice-T, Busta Rhymes, Spliff Star, Method Man, The Lox, Raheim, Too $hort, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Nelly, Lil Baby, DJ Drama, Swizz Beats, and even Grandmaster Mele Mel & Scorpio/Ethiopian King will be present.
Questlove, The Roots, and LL Cool J will also be present during the number to do their respective parts as well.
"For five decades, hip-hop has not only been a defining force in music but a major influence on our culture. Its contributions to art, fashion, sport, politics and society cannot be overstated. I'm so proud that we are honoring it in such a spectacular way on the Grammy stage. It is just the beginning of our yearlong celebration of this essential genre of music," The Recording Academy CEO Harvey Manson Jr. elaborated.
Aside from the abovementioned acts, DJ Khaled, along with JAY-Z, John Legend, Rick Ross, and Fridayy's performance of their Grammy-nominated song "GOD DID" is also up in the air now.
Although sources have confirmed Adele, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift's attendance on the show, neither of the three has announced if they would also be performing at the star-studded gathering.
As for the confirmed 2023 GRAMMYs performers, the first wave of acts will be composed of Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Kim Petras, Sam Smith, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, and Mary J. Blige.
