Taylor Lautner made a surprising comment about Taylor Swift during his appearance on the podcast hosted by his wife, Taylor Dome.

Swifties felt "Back To December" again after Swift's ex, Lautner, made a rare comment about her when his wife asked him a question for her "The Squeeze" podcast. The actor's wife asked him what moment he would go to if he could travel back in time and what he would say to himself.

Surprisingly, the "Twilight" actor said he would return to the 2009 VMAs when he presented the "Lavender Haze" hitmaker with an award. At that time, Kanye West suddenly interrupted her speech, and Lautner did not do anything about it as he thought it was a "rehearsed skit."

"I could barely hear it. I can't see them," he said of the infamous incident. "I'm just assuming this whole thing was a practiced and rehearsed skit because why else would Kanye West be jumping on the stage interrupting Taylor Swift? It just didn't make sense."

Lautner then told Dome he was laughing and giggling, although he could not hear anything. He reportedly only realized that it was not scripted when Swift turned back around and he saw her face after her speech.

The married couple then watched West's infamous interruption where Lautner can be seen truly giggling before looking confused.

His comment resonated with what he said during his opening monologue in a 2013 episode of "Saturday Night Live." He quipped that he stood up for the "Anti-Hero" singer since he was up on stage with her. But kidding aside, he said he could have done a little more for her.

What Happened at The 2009 VMAs?

Swift was giving her acceptance speech after winning the Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me" when the "Jesus Is King" rapper went on stage and took the microphone from her.

West then made his comment about her win, saying, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!"

He was referring to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."

The crowd booed him before giving back the microphone to the singer and walking off the stage. Reports later said he was removed from the show.

Celebrities, musicians, and even political figures condemned him for his behavior. West later apologized through his blog and during his interview on "The Jay Leno Show."
