Caroline Polachek has been making rounds online for more than 24 hours after releasing her latest album "Desire, I Want To Turn Into You," little did fans know that there is one song from the record that the pop star dedicated to her good pal, SOPHIE.
As seen on the track's official storyline on Spotify, the 38-year-old alternative singer wrote, "'I Believe' is about immortality. This song is dedicated to my friend and visionary artist SOPHIE.
There were some fans who knew the background of the track, which is number six on the official tracklist, and immediately took to social media to react to Polachek's dedication.

"Is the best track of the album, of course is for Sophie," one wrote, while another one expressed, "This is such an amazing song. I hope she continues to write music like this."
There were also lyrics from the song that tells the story of longing for someone, "I don't know, but I believe
/ We'll get another day together / Violent love, feel my embrace."
SOPHIE Dead at 34
SOPHIE, whose real name is Sophie Xeon, was a transgender pop star/record producer who previously worked with some of the biggest artists in the music industry today like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, Kim Petras, and many more.
The Scottish-born avant-garde pop artist passed away in 2021 after a "sudden accident." At the time, her record label issued a statement revealing how she passed away, saying she climbed up to watch the full moon "and accidentally slipped and fell."
The pop star, who died at the age of 34, was a pioneer in the hyper pop genre as she was one of the first people to experiment with the sound.
According to Rolling Stone, the musician was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She began her career as a DJ before producing songs for artists like Madonna with her track "B****, I'm Madonna."
After years of producing songs for other people, she finally released her only album "Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides" and was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the Grammy Awards in 2019.
More recently, Kim Petras and Sam Smith won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category at this year's Grammys. The former delivered an emotional speech where she mentioned SOPHIE.
"I just want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who've kicked these doors open for me so I could be here tonight - SOPHIE, especially," she said. (via Junkee)
