Olivia Newton-John's last words to her Chloe Lattanzi have been revealed nearly a year after her death.

Lattanzi shared new heartbreaking details about Newton-John's death and what her last words were to her before the "Grease" crooner lost her ability to speak.

On Friday, she told "TODAY" host Hoda Kotb in her first interview since Olivia Newton-John's death that her mother was making jokes as she said her last words.

"The last words she could say to me was, 'My sunshine.' And right before she lost her ability to speak, she was making jokes," Lattanzi said. "I love my mom more than anything. She's my mama, you know?"

The daughter said the singer is not Olivia Newton-John. However, she expressed how grateful she is that her mother became Olivia Newton-John for the public.

During Lattanzi's appearance with her husband, John Easterling, the program released the singer's "Jolene" duet with Dolly Parton. Newton-John recorded it before her death.

In the same interview, John showered Lattanzi with heartfelt messages and opened up about the 15 years he had spent with her. He applauded his willpower amid trying times and thanked her for bringing light and love to their relationship.

John recalled the time he was flying when a guy told him how lucky he is to have his soulmate. After hearing those words, he reportedly felt empowered as those gave him a way forward
