Austin Butler is one of the most sought-after actors right now. After winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture, then recently snagging a win at the BAFTA Film Awards last Sunday, Butler has been on a roll.

That is why it was quite confusing and surprising to know that he was not even tapped by Paramount on the upcoming "Zoey 101" reboot, one of the first few shows he had a main role in television.

Jamie Lynn Spears told People Magazine that she was set to reunite with Erin Sanders, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Abby Wilde, Christopher Massey, and Jack Salvatore on the upcoming "Zoey 101" reboot, "Zoey 102.'

Notably, the two most famous members of the cast would not be present in the reboot.

Victoria Justice, who originated from "Zoey 101," later on had her own show on Nickelodeon, "Victorious." Although her career hit a stump, Justice is still one of the most prominent artists on the old cast right now.

In an interview, Justice revealed scheduling conflict to be the reason why she would not be present on the "Zoey 101" reboot.

Justice will be releasing her first debut album ten years since "Victorious" first aired on television.

For some, the makings of a good reboot project probably entail having almost the entire living cast do their roles again or in the same manner, especially those whose careers have taken off really well since the show.

Butler, who played James Garrett on "Zoey 101," perhaps the biggest star out of all the cast, revealed to Variety that he was not even tapped nor informed of the upcoming "Zoey 101" reboot.

"I haven't heard anything about that, I don't know. I'm so grateful for all those stepping stones that I had throughout my career," he told the podcast.

But despite the non-invitation, Butler remained humbled and grateful for the show.

"Zoey 101 was a big turning point for me cause it was the first time I was ever a series regular on a show so I got to be a part of an entire season. I remember getting my first line on a TV show and that was huge for me," he recounted.

Butler affirmed that while these moments in one's career are "pivotal," he would just go for whatever story resonates with him or whatever artists he wants to work with.

Butler is hard-pressed to win an Oscar for his role as the King of Rock and Roll in "Elvis." He already got a BAFTA and a Golden Globe Award for the said role, among other awards.
