French Montana is on the up and up.
French Montana was born and raised in Morocco before moving to the United States, where he later found much success in his music career.
Despite living a cushy lifestyle now as a rapper, Montana did not have it easy; he was his family's breadwinner and he knew a thing or two about hard work.
His tough background might have contributed to his determination to be as successful as he can possibly be.
Just recently, he set a new record; according to reports, he was named the most streamed African-born artist in history.
"That lil immigrant boy had faith. Thank you to all my fans love y'all," he wrote in an Instagram caption.
On top of the exciting news of setting this new record in music history, as well as boosting his music career, Montana had another thing up his sleeve.
"Documentary soon. Let's make more history... A goal without a plan is a wish," he continued.

Most-Streamed African-Born Artist
Complex reported that the news of Montana's new milestone comes after a social media account named him the Most-Streamed African-Born Artist;
However, the basis for this achievement is still murky-like from which platforms were counted in the statistics and the likes.
One thing is for certain, his massive hit song with Swae Lee, "Unforgettable" definitely helped him take home the bacon.
"Unforgettable" was streamed over three billion times worldwide, which is probably why it is also getting a diamond certification from the RIAA.
Montana began his music career in battle rap; he used to go by the monicker Young French-probably a nod to one of the languages he speaks fluently, French.
In 2009, he signed with Akon's Konvict Music label, where he began working with the rapper.
They released several collab songs throughout that time in his career before his own song "Choppa Choppa Down," featuring Waka Flocka Flame gained traction in 2011.
Since then, Montana has released several hits, like "Pop That" with Rick Ross, Drake, and Lil Wayne, "Ain't Worried About Nothing," "Lockjaw," "All the Way Up," "Welcome to the Party," "Freaks" with Nicki Minaj, "Turn Down For What [Remix]," and more.
Despite all the success he has received, there have been times Montana has stumbled, like in 2021, when he plagiarized a verse off of Astrid S's "Jump" to his own song "How You King."
