Fear Factory named its new vocalist more than two years after Burton C. Bell left the band.

Ahead of Fear Factory's Rise Of The Machine North American tour with Static-X, the band officially named its new vocalist for "the next era."

Dino Cazares revealed that they went through a long and meticulous process before finding and getting the new frontman, Milo Silvestro. He expressed his excitement toward the big week as the band makes its final preparations ahead of its tour, which will start on Feb. 25.

The new vocalist then called the milestone a huge opportunity for him as a musician.

"I've been a fan of the band for many years and it feels very surreal but I'm excited to be part of it," Silvestro said. "I know I have some massive shoes to fill, but I'm here to do it in the best way possible and give justice to the vocal legacy of this legendary band."

Silvestro ultimately replaced Fear Factory's former vocalist, Bell, who revealed that his departure from the band was a long time coming since he reportedly lost his love for it.

Moving forward with its new vocalist, Cazares said they began working on new material with the new Fear Factory frontman. It will serve as a follow up to its 2021 "Aggression Continuum" album.

Former Nightrage singer Antony Hämäläinen tried his luck to secure the frontman position but failed. Three hundred different vocalists auditioned for the role, but Cazares and the band selected Silvestro after seeing him perform one of Fear Factory's songs.

Who Is Fear Factory's New Vocalist Milo Silvestro?

Before becoming the Fear Factory frontman, Silvestro is known as a member of the electronic metal, Dead Channel.

In the video announcement, Silvestro himself gave his music background to fans. He disclosed that both his parents are pro musicians, with his mother working as a vocal coach. His father, meanwhile, is a professional blues guitar player and songwriter.

Silvestro reportedly started showing his love for music when he was 12. He began playing drums and percussion, but metal led him to embrace singing by learning how to scream and do metal vocals.

During the audition, he did a vocal cover of Fear Factory's "Song of a New Machine" medley. That piece, fortunately, helped him get the job.
