Happy birthday, Matt Skiba! Blink-182's former singer-guitarist became a member of the band in 2015 after guitarist, Tom De Longe, left. Earlier last year, Skiba left Blink-182 to make way for De Longe's return. As surprising as it may seem, Skiba appears to be happy with the upcoming reunion of his former band. Matt Skiba was born on February 24, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, under the birth name, Matthew Thomas Skiba. Skiba took an interest in playing the drums when he was still young, according to Allmusic.com. 

Matt Skiba Happy with Blink-182 Reunion: Details 

Skiba has spent most of his time in the Illinois suburbs recently, as he cares for his sick father. Skiba shares he wasn't surprised that De Longe replaced him earlier last year.  Bassist and singer, Mark Hoppus, previously informed Matt that plans within Bink-182 were in process of being implemented in time for De Longe's comeback with the band. All Skiba could do has been to be happy for the news of a Blink-182 reunion, eventhough, he's not a part of the band, anymore. 

It appeared clumsy De Longe would post a thank you message for Skiba on Instagram, as per a Vulture.com report. However, Matt never let it pass to announce that he appreciated the gratefulness gesture of De Longe's. 

Matt Skiba's Collaboration Works with Blink-182 

Skiba is the founder of the punk music group, Alkaline Trio. As of date, Matt Skiba did two albums during his time with Blink-182: "California" (2016) and "Nine" (2019). Furthermore, Skiba reveals that Blink-182 is in the works of creating a next album that follows "Nine," according to Nme.com. However, the planning and working process for that album was cancelled after Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer.
