Fans of Britney Spears have a bizarre new theory that she has been replaced by Artificial Intelligence, or AI.

Fans have been concerned about the 41-year-old pop artist in recent months, with some assuming that her accounts are not being managed by the "Baby One More Time" singer herself, despite her conservatorship ending in November 2021 after 13 years.

A now-deleted Instagram account with the username BritneyIsNotFree, which refers to the high-profile #FreeBritney movement, which focused on her father Jamie's control over her career, finances, and bodily autonomy, posted a video in which a fan used artificial intelligence to enhance an unclear photo from her recent wedding to Sam Asghari.

The video, which has since been deleted, shows the "Toxic" singer on her wedding day, but it is fuzzy and distorted. But, after passing the image through an AI photo generator, which later clarified it, supporters feel the woman in the image is not Britney Spears.

The now-deleted reel claimed, "Nothing can convince me that's her at this point."

As the Instagram page posted the video and stated that the woman in the photo was not Britney, people promptly flocked to the comments section to express their opinions.

One person believed the blonde girl in the photo resembled Jessica Simpson, while another stated it hadn't been her in ten years or more.

Others, however, feel that the latest conspiracy claim is completely bogus, with one person stating, "I have this app and it makes everyone's face jumbled up like that if it's too pixelated or little."

Nonetheless, these assertions should be taken with a grain of salt.

This comes after Sam Asghari stepped out in the aftermath of accusations that Britney Spears' friends and family planned an intervention for the "Womanizer" singer.

According to Sam who spoke to Access Hollywood, the intervention did not take place because his wife "is in complete charge of her life and will continue to make all decisions surrounding her care regardless of circumstances."

"Speculation about her health is wrong and should cease immediately," he added.

The reports also came less than a month after authorities received many complaints from worried fans, prompting the Ventura County Sheriff's office to conduct a welfare check on her.

However, Britney addressed the situation in late January, claiming that while she loves and appreciates her fans, things went "a bit too far" and her "privacy was violated."
