Lewis Capaldi expressed his heartbreak after he was forced to postpone two of his scheduled European tours this week amid a health issue.

Capaldi has over 50 scheduled concerts this year, and he has since finished some of the dates. The singer, however, was forced to cancel his supposed two European shows this week amid a health issue.

On his Twitter account, the 26-year-old "Hold Me While You Wait" singer posted a note expressing how devastated he felt as he typed the announcement.

"As lots of you know for the past few nights of the tour, I've been really struggling with my voice, last night in Stockholm I tried my best to sing through the show even with it feeling really uncomfortable because I was desperate not to let any of you down," he said.

Capaldi said that his current health issue led him to cancel his shows, including the one scheduled in Zurich. As he wanted to resume it on other days instead, the singer and his team reportedly started checking with the venues' free days.

From March 7, the Zurich show at the Hallenstadion will be held on June 28. Meanwhile, the supposed March 8 Milan show will now take place on May 31.

The original tickets for the shows will be valid on the new dates.

Capaldi assured his fans he would be taking all the time he needed to rest and recuperate ahead of the Barcelona awards. The singer made the decision after his consultation with a voice specialist in Sweden. He learned that he has bronchitis, forcing him to have at least three days of vocal rest to ensure he does not damage his voice.

His recent issue with his voice came after Capaldi had an episode of his Tourette's Syndrome while singing "Someone You Loved" in front of his fans in Frankfurt, Germany.

Videos of the singer's performance went viral on TikTok, capturing him experiencing a series of tics. As he stopped to deal with the tics, his fans made a heartfelt move by singing the song until he was able to pick up again.

The public showered Capaldi and his fans praise as they said the moment was "so beautiful" it caused them to become emotional.

Capaldi first revealed he has Tourette's Syndrome in an Instagram Live video in 2022. At that time, he shared how the illness causes him to experience twitches. He explained that he decided to talk about it six months after his official diagnosis as it always makes him feel better to share things about himself.
