The 2023 CMT Music Awards was finally revealed, and it seems Lainey Wilson might finally have her big moment on the CMT stage.
The 2023 CMT Music Awards will take place on Apr. 2, 2023, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. This would be the first time that the annual fan-voted show will be held in Austin, as opposed to the longstanding tradition that it would be held in Nashville.
Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown will be hosting the 2023 CMT Music Awards show.
Lainey Wilson CMT Music Awards 2023 Nominations
Wilson is the most nominated artist of the night, with four whopping nods in the major category. His video collaboration with HARDY was nominated for both Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of The Year, while his performance of "Never Say Never" with Cole Swindell at the 2022 CMT Music Awards also received a nod for the performance of the year. Her song "Heart Like A Truck" was also among the nominees for Female Video of the Year.
Should she win any of the four nods she had, it would mark his first CMT Award. She has been nominated before for Breakthrough Video of the Year and CMT Digital Performance of the Year for "Things a Man Oughta Know," and Video of the Year for "Never Say Never" with Cole Swindell but failed to take home any.
Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, and Jelly Roll all take three nominations each. It is Roll's first time getting nominated at the CMT Music Awards.
