Taylor Swift will be kicking off her highly-anticipated "The Eras" tour anytime soon and her first stop would be in Glendale, Arizona. To welcome the pop star, the mayor decided to change the city's name temporarily and they will announce the new name soon.

According to 12 News, Mayor Jerry P. Weiers will be proclaiming the city's new name on Monday, but the effect will not be permanent as they're only doing it to honor the Grammy Award-winning singer. The big change will only take effect until March 18.

The reason why the city decided to make the move is that they wanted to do "something highly unusual" at the musician's concert.

"There is no need to calm down, we're fearless and doing something highly unusual to celebrate the fact that Taylor's concerts start right here!" a statement reads.

In addition to the new name announcement, the mayor would also share details about the places where fans could go after the concert to continue the party.

As of this writing, fans and Glendale locals still don't have an idea what the temporary name would be, but many fans took to social media to share their guesses.
