Stevie Nicks launched her co-headlining tour with Billy Joel by paying tribute to her late co-bandmate, Christine McVie.

Nicks wowed her fans during her co-headlining tour with Billy Joel. She started her 2023 tour at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium and performed a total of 16 songs in front of her fans.

For her last performance, the singer paid tribute to McVie - who died on NOV.. 30, 2022, following a short illness - by singing an emotional rendition of Fleetwood Mac's hit classic, "Landslide."

As the 74-year-old "Go Your Own Way" singer performed, photos of her and McVie flashed on the huge screens behind her. Nicks ended the song with a heartfelt message to the audience, failing to hold back her tears.

"There's really not much to say. We just will pretend that she's still here. That's how I'm trying to deal with it. Thank you for listening," Nicks went on.

Before McVie's death, the late musician spoke up about her friendship with Nicks, saying that she immediately liked her when they met. According to McVie, they were polar opposites of each other but totally sympathetic to each other.

However, Nicks lost her when she lost her in 2022.

Following her passing, the "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" singer expressed her heartbreak as she lost her best friend "since 1975." Nicks penned the statement and included lyrics to Haim's song, "Hallelujah," which she reportedly wanted to sing to her.
