Twice member Chaeyoung was wrapped in controversy after horrified fans noticed her wearing a swastika and QAnon shirt two days in a row.

The KPOP star immediately took to Instagram to apologize for not recognizing the meanings behind the images of the clothes that she unwittingly wore.

"Hello, this is Chaeyoung from TWICE. I sincerely apologize regarding the Instagram post," she wrote, referring to the shirt that bore the swastika symbol.

"I didn't correctly recognize the meaning of the tilted swastika in the t-shirt I wore.

"I deeply apologize for not thoroughly reviewing it, causing concern. I will pay absolute attention in the future to prevent any situation similar from happening again. Sincerely apologize again."

According to the Daily Mail UK, Chaeyoung was shocked fans when she posted a picture of herself wearing a shirt that had swastika imagery.

After taking the Instagram post down, the following day, she was seen yet again sporting another controversial image-the QAnon logo.

Antisemitism in KPOP?

There are mixed reactions to Chaeyoung's clothes, which were heavily debated on social media. Fans immediately took to Twitter to air out their concerns over the lack of research the stylists do before letting the KPOP stars wear the clothes.

"Antisemitism in KPOP is way too overlooked," declared a Twitter user. "Chaeyoung wearing a QAnon and a Nazi shirt two days in a row, both being antisemitic, stop hiding this, and mind you these her own clothes."

"I'm 25 I also don't know about this...just like her.... it's ok to not know about things but she realized her mistake and she apologized for end of the discussion," a fan wrote.

While some called out the 23-year-old singer for sporting the controversial images on her clothes, others were defending her, saying that she was simply wearing what her stylist gave her.

Another Twitter user spoke up about this: "The way that fandom want to defend this? She's a grown woman even if the stylist gives her that she may not accept it."

"Just sickening," another added.

"This is so disappointing to see [clown face emoji] There is no way she didn't know about its meaning..."

"I don't care if she "apologized", there is no excuse for this. The swastika is the most recognizable symbol of hate in the world, even if schools don't go into heavy detail on the nature of the Nazi regime people still know what it stands for. It's crazy people try to defend her."

Swastika and QAnon

The swastika symbol used to be a religious and cultural symbol. It was predominantly seen in Eurasian and African cultures, but nowadays it is more closely linked to the Nazis and neo-Nazis.

Meanwhile, QAnon is an American far-right political movement. They have shown support for former President Donald Trump and they are also known to spread conspiracy theories. Thus both symbols are considered offensive.
