Is Saweetie ever planning to release "Pretty Bitch Music"?

Apparently, it's already in the works, and it's coming a lot sooner than everyone expected.

"I feel like a debut album is not something you just put out," Saweetie explained regarding what's taking her so long to release her debut album, which was originally slated for release back in 2021.

"It's not something you play with. I'm a Cancer so I like to overthink sometimes, but I think you have to be really careful with that and I take my art really serious."

However, it seems like the long wait is over because the rapper is planning to release "Pretty Bitch Music" later this year.

"Definitely way before the end of the year," she confirmed then revealed that was really causing all the delay behind the scenes.

"I'm working on the album, I'm really focused on my craft right now. I'm about to drop some treatments and collaborate some direct with some directors to shoot some new music videos."

The Start of Saweetie

Saweetie began making music and uploading them on SoundCloud. One of her releases, "Icy Girl" became a hit on the platform, which eventually caught the attention of Max Gousse, a producer and A&R executive.

Since then, the rapper has release hit after hit, with her name being linked to some of the hottest and chart-topping songs.

In 2020, Saweetie released "Tap In," the lead single off her debut album, "Pretty Bitch Music." The song climbed the charts and peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Despite being announced over three years ago, Saweetie still has not released her debut album.

It has been delayed time and time again, but with good reason. The rapper revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that she has been working non-stop on the album.

"She's coming. She's still in the womb, I haven't popped her out. I want to thank my fans for patiently waiting. It's been a year. It's been a while. I've been recording officially for a year, non-stop."

Aside from the constant pressure of being asked when the album will drop, Saweetie herself notes that the album has to be flawless before she finally unveils it to the world for very special and important reasons.

"Through hours of self-reflection, I have realized that Pretty B.I.T.C.H music is not an album - it's a movement," she explained.

"It's a culture. It's a language. It's a lifestyle. We not rushing art, we taking our time. This ain't no microwave shit. It's baking and it will definitely be worth the taste."
