Usually, when one is canceling a concert or a performance commitment, it is for something that is either really important or a setback from the side of the performer - either it could be a health bout, an emergency encounter, or even a really important matter that came up.

Drake, who was announced months prior to being one of Lollapalooza Brasil's headliners, decided to pull the plug on his performance at the very last minute.

Drake Lollapalooza Brasil Performance Canceled

In a statement posted last Mar. 26, 2023, the organizers of Lollapalooza Brasil announced that Drake's spot would be vacated from the original lineup. Drake was set to close the three-day festivity of Lollapalooza Brasil.

Based on the statement, Lollapalooza Brasil organizers said that the last-minute cancellation was "unforeseen circumstances," attributed to the rapper's production team.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential for the realization of the Lollapalooza show in São Paulo. Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is out of his control. Sorry," the statement loosely translated from Spanish.

To make up for the lost headliner, Skrillex was tapped to close the highly-anticipated music festival.

Drake Partying With 50 Cent During Supposed Lollapalooza Brasil Performance

As expected, many fans waiting for Drake's Lollapalooza Brasil performance were angry because of the last-minute cancellation.

While some thought that their frustrations had already reached an all-time high, they were met with more anger and disappointment from the rapper, who was spotted partying in Miami, Florida, on his supposed schedule.

Drake is seen partying with rap superstar 50 Cent at a party; because of this, upset fans took to social media and vented out their frustrations.

"@Drake I'm dropping by to say that you are the worst artist in the whole world. Over 100,000 people have bought tickets to see your show today and you just cancel hours before because you're hungover after a night out with 50 Cent," a user frustratingly posted.

Meanwhile, another user defended Drake's pull out, attributing it to a Reuters report saying that Lollapalooza Brasil was accused of using homeless people as slave workers.
