Happy birthday, Perry Farrell! The Jane's Addiction musician may have something to celebrate about, but, the recent news regarding what's happened to him is not what his fans want to hear. Perry Farrell Bio 

Perry Farrell was born on March 29, 1959 in Queens, New York. Farrell's mother reportedly committed suicide when her son was only four years old. Perry is the frontman of alternative rock band, Jane's Addiction. Farrell's other notable works included "Twilight" (2008), "Southland Tales" (2006), and "The Cable Guy" (1996), as per Imdb. Perry has been married to Etty Lau Farrell since March 2002. The couple have two children. 

Perry has been well-known to have frequently written songs about women. Perry is a vegetarian, and a supporter of the "Free Tibet" campaign. The musician is also a proud supporter of other human rights organizations, such as, Amnesty International and the third world "Drop the Debt" campaign. 

Perry Farrell's Music Career with Jane's Addiction 

Farrell met future Jane's Addiction co-member, Eric Avery via mutual friends. The two men started having their jam sessions, that, in turn, paved the way for the founding and formation of Jane's Addiction. Perry is widely known to have released the 2001 album, "Song Yet to be Sung." 

Perry is the brain behind the creation and designing of all of the cover art for all of Jane's Addiction's albums. Ex-girlfriend of ten years, Casey Niccoli, was the person behind many of Jane's Addiction's songs. Some of these songs were "Classic Girl" and "Been Caught Stealing." 

Why Jane's Addiction's Recent Shows with Smashing Pumpkins Were Cancelled 

Perry Farrell sustained an injury during a performance of Jane's Addiction's at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 19, 2022. Because of this unfortunate incident, Farrell announced that a couple of their concerts for the "Spirits on Fire" tour with Smashing Pumpkins needed to be cancelled. As per reported on Rolling Stone, these concerts were set to would had taken place in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City, if such shows weren't scrapped.
