Greta Van Fleet credited Elton John for helping them reach the place they are currently standing in.

The American rock band, founded in 2012, recently hyped fans by confirming the details of their third album, "Starcatcher." It will serve as the follow-up to their "The Battle At Garden's Gate," which they released in 2021.

As the band aims to conquer more stages, the members look back to where they came from and when they started, saying that Elton John's words helped them.

Greta Van Fleet Reveals Advice They Received From Elton John

In an interview with Loudwire Nights' Kevin Vargas, Greta Van Fleet's bassist Sam Kiszka and drummer Danny Wagner shared the time they met the "Rocket Man" singer and the advice they received from him.

"He was pretty much like, 'Light it up. Do it. Own it. Don't be shy. Just go for it.' So after that, we were like, 'OK, we'll go for it,'" Kiszka said. "So that's something you kind of have to remember is to give it your all and kind of create that person out there."

He applauded his bandmates, who always become different people on stage to complete their performances. With their continuous improvement, he noted that their meeting with John is the best moment in their career so far.

Kiszka recalled hearing the legendary musician's words when the band was still starting to build its empire. Because of that, they decided to treat him as a hero.

What made John's advice more heartfelt was the fact that he was someone Greta Van Fleet's members grew up listening to.

Greta Van Fleet To Show More of What They Got in New Album

Greta Van Fleet are gearing up to share their latest music project, "Starcatcher," on July 21. The 10-track LP comes with the first single, "Meeting the Master."

According to Consequence of Sound, the band collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb to record the album. Kiszka said "Starcatcher" would revisit its previous album's concepts while making listeners think about the real meaning of one's consciousness.

"We had this idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe," drummer Danny Wagner went on. "We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would come about here and there throughout our careers through this world."
