Angel Olsen revealed that her EP's title track was inspired by The Beatles member George Harrison.

Scheduled for release on April 14, Olsen's EP "Forever Means" introduced one of its tracks through her YouTube channel. The song, which has the same name as the EP, was written in 2019 after the release of her "All Mirrors" and "Whole New Mess."

Although the crooner only released it now, she shared a surprising detail about the track.

Angel Olsen's Song Inspired by George Harrison

In a press release (via Pitchfork), Olsen said she made the song while making her 2022 LP and that it would be a nod to The Beatles member.

"I'd thought of it as a kind of nod to George Harrison, who I'd been getting back into during the pandemic as I was finally calming down and finding moments of peace with myself," she wrote.

"Forever Means" means yearning for freedom and peace, and Harrison's past move in bringing The Beatles to India to popularize Eastern religion became the track's reference.

She recalled the time she traveled somewhere and stopped somewhere. She reportedly asked herself what forever means to her, before bombarding herself with more questions like what she is looking for in love and friendship and how those things - despite always changing - can be attainable.
