Mudvayne's vocalist Chad Gray confirmed the band's upcoming new music after hyping fans with a post.

In 2021, Mudvayne marked its first-ever performance since performing for the last time in 2009. The band went on a hiatus after releasing five studio albums at that time.

Following the reunion, the vocalist formally confirmed that they would add a new record under the band's belt this year.

Mudvayne Confirms New Music

Earlier this month, Gray sparked rumors when he shared a photo of him on Instagram inside a recording studio. He added the hashtags #mudvayne and #wereallinthistogether, leading fans to speculate that a new song would be released soon.

Although he did not initially disclose the project he was working on, he soon confirmed that it was for Mudvayne's new music.

"wild few days. From home to DFW to demo up some new Mudvayne! This will be the first music we have released in 14 years! Still not exactly sure when it will release but yeah...it's coming! Pretty insane when you look at that number," he wrote.

Mudvayne officially ended its hiatus - which started Sep. 14, 2009 - when the band members had special reunion performances at different festivals, including Welcome to Rockville, Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Inkcarceration.

Gray kept the fans' hopes up by asking them to be patient as the members were still busy with the other bands.

The waiting will be finally paid off by the new song and the band's upcoming tour.
